It was surprisingly emotional for me to catch the Olympics pair skating gold going to the Russians; with the silver to the Chinese who still got it even though the lady crashed and burned after a throw. The Russians were trembling with emotion on the stand.

The olympics are actually really interesting to watch. These people train their whole lives for a chance to compete in them. It's what pro sports wants to be when it grows up but can't because there is too much money in it and players don't seem to have any loyalty to anything but the hightest bidder.

i agree. did you see when the russians fell back in 04? she went right down on her head....so scary.
